Dual boot Android 2.1 & WinCE 6.0 for under USD 200!

We’ve just spotted that Witstech has made available for sale the first Android 2.1 tablet that we’ve heard of (which also dual boots to WinCE 6.0 no less) and is bringing it to market over at merimobiles.com for USD 199 . The quick move to the higher version of the Android OS and a Cortex A8 processor could truly be a game changer for bringing higher performance to low cost tablets!
Cisco tablets mean business

Cisco has launched 2 tablets this week and essentially they both mean business. One directly targeted at the video conferencing business exec and one for the homeowner who means business when it comes to saving money. The 2 tablets are about as different as you can get with one based on ARM and Android and the other on Intel and Ubuntu.

Red Flag showcases first MeeGo powered tablet

In the crowd of Android based tablets, China’s Red Flag Software Co., Ltd has showcased an upcoming 10.1-inch NPad, a MeeGo (Midinux 3.0) based tablet, during a software trade event in Dalian city. The NPad is the first tablet of its type to run the MeeGo OS. The tablet is powered with Intel’s Moorestown platform and features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity and GPS
